Prospect park is the center of Brooklyn. Some of the most expensive neighborhoods surround it. I live 2 blocks from the park and take advantage of hiking, biking, walking, paddle boating, picnicking, bbqing or people watching. I love listening to the African drumming on Sundays. Come early to be able to find parking. There is a band shell at the... More

It took a 45-minute subway ride to get from Long Island City to Prospect Park. But I wanted to start checking out the City's park offerings in other boroughs. I transferred to the 2 train at Time Square, then out to Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn. I walked abt 3 miles. Though both this and Central Park were designed by... More

A nice park for walking, jogging and cycling. A well located large park that lets you get away from the crowds. a good alternative to Central Park.

This place could be beautiful - it's a large, historic and well-designed park right in the heart of Brooklyn. Several lakes, a small children's area, boathouse and more, and wonderful colors in the fall. I'm sure the gardens are very nice in the springtime. Unfortunately, though, trash and litter abound - which really spoil the experience. It's a shame.

The best park.. You can go biking and there is beautiful scenery. Great place for BBQ and beautiful playground. They have a great zoo to. Very kids friendly and adults. I enjoy just going on walk with my husband on the trail. It's quite and there benches to sit. ... And you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Very nice park.

Designed by the same person who designed Central Park, thus is a very pleasant and large park in Brooklyn. We enjoyed a lovely walk, enjoying the fall colours and various pathways. Many scenic locations, including several with water, and do a good place for taking photos, weather permitting. Easy to get to, with some nearby subway stations.

This park is nice and beautiful! You can actually think you are outside of a city, you do not have cars all around. I would definitely recommend a walk and a picnic there.

Stunning park, though easy to get lost. Unlike Central park it's not on the top of most people's "to do" list when visiting NYC so it's very peaceful. Staff were very friendly when asked for directions and the park it's self is very well maintained. Worth a couple of hours walk for the peace and quite

The walk from around the Barclay Centre to the Park brings you past a history of elegant brownstones, churches, etc. The Park itself is massive, has lots of people enjoying themselves, playing on wide fields, jogging, cycling, walking, strolling. Plenty of water, waterfalls, scenery galore. We were lucky to have a spectacular autumn day to enjoy the colours and marvel... More
