We attended an Ice Dogs game the other night and we're treated horrible. We asked where the VIP room in which we had reserved and were told there isn't one; you sit anyone you can. Finally another customer directed us to the correct location. We were carded for the wet side while other Patriots walked right on through. Our food... More

Traveled to Alaska for fun with my best friend and brother. Last couple of nights of our trip we decided to go see an Ice Dog hockey game. Tickets were $20 at the door. Beer is $5 per cup and allowed on 2 per person at a time(2hands=2beers). Concession stand is cheap compared to a huge arena. Totally worth it.... More

We always come here fortheIce Dogs games. I liked the ice cream and their nochos are the best nachos that I have ever tasted.

We take out nephews there every other week and it is a fair price for ice time and skates. We have also been to several birthday parties there and have had a great time.

The Big Dipper is where the locals go to skate. Great indoor sheet of ice, that is home to the Ice Dogs and all the local hockey leagues. The Dipper also has 3 nice outdoor rinks that are a blast to skate on during "warm" spring days. The Big Dipper is also home to the Fairbanks North Star Borough Department... More

This is the university's rink, but I'm happy they let outsiders putter around in here too. Yay! My kid had never been to an ice rink before.

Went today for there open skate. It was 8 for adults and 6 for kids. They play good music and the staff is friendly. Wish the open skate was more than a hour and a half. Other than that it was pretty fun.

Winter in Fairbanks-- aurora viewing, dog sledding, skiing @ Mt Aurora, and ice skating @ Big Dipper during a public session (although, since it's an indoor rink, you can skate here year round). The rental skates are not the hard plastic things I've found at other rinks, they're actually comfortable! What made it even better is the sound system was... More
