Anyone with an interest in the sport and lifestyle of mushing, the history ofsled dogs around the woriid, and modern sledfogracig must visit this incredible museum. The owner has devoted a huge part of her life to the collection and life style. She makes it come to life with personal attention for each visitor. Highly recomended!

I didn't realize the history of dog mushing prior to this experience. The museum presents a history and exposure to key milestones and people important to dog mushing in Alaska.

We thought this was a great opportunity to really see how sled dogs lived, were trained and view their demonstration. We liked it a lot and were pleased to be able to purchase an autographed copy of their children's book.

Interesting place to show off dog sledding. Small museum and gift shop, and puppies to pat, but not good on a rainy day!

The $10 entrance fee was a bit of a surprise but once inside the museum was filled to the max with tons of original equipment and information. Our group of 7, three kids, my husband and I and the grandparents all enjoyed this!

If you are visiting Fairbanks, this is one of the "must see" attractions. They have so many authentic items (sleds, clothing, photos, memorabilia, etc) pertaining to mushers and dogs. There is a very worthwhile film, too . While we did not see the owner, the man at the ticket booth was eager to please and interesting. Yes, the price is $10,... More

This is a smallish museum that focuses on Alaskan dog sledding and racing, its history, culture, equipment, and artifacts. There is also a film and a small gift shop. An additional fun part was the puppies you can pet on the premises. They are in an enclosed yard outside the museum. We stopped here while we were in downtown Fairbanks.

My wife and I stayed in Fairbanks for 3 nights at the Bridgewater Hotel during our escorted 'Natural Wonders of Alaska' tour with Titan Travel. This compact museum is located to the side of the Bridgewater Hotel in a large quite ordinary looking building. However, once inside after paying the $10 entrance fee, I entered an impressive museum. The displays... More

Mainly focuses on Dog sled Racing. Some interesting artefacts, a short film, but I thought the $10 entrance fee was over the top. If it had of been half the price many more on my tour would have visited. Gotta feel for the dogs running the distance from Whitehorse to Fairbanks. I
