Five of us from Fairbanks were on the Champagne Cruise in late August. The food was awful--runny eggs and freezer-burned ham. The first thing that was served was coffee cake and one of us speculated that it was an appetite depressant so that we wouldn't...More

Fun sternwheeler ride down the Chena River in Fairbanks. Very informational with stop at dog sleeding dog kennel/training center. As well a stop at a original Indian camp where they explain how to smoke salmon. The lunch was an amazing family style stew, roasted vegetables,...More

Very nice staff. Go and visit the captain in the wheelhouse. Great brunch. Support a family business. Would go again. Best deal in Fairbanks!

Well worth a trip on the sternwheeler. We saw mushing dogs, had a great commentary along the river. Had a flying boat come along, land and take off. Visited the village and caribou. Very good presentations by the youngsters at the village..

The food is not Ruth's Chris, but this was worth the time and effort. The staff was nice, and the views of "real" Alaska along the river banks gave us a deeper appreciation for the culture of Fairbanks. Locals seemed to like it....

To start with we had a beef stew lunch provided. The sternwheeler was large, with a 300 passenger capability so this was no small deal. We went up to the junction of the Chena and Tatana rivers from Fairbanks and along the banks, demonstrations of...More
