The trip was excellent! Professional and helpful tour guide. Hike is about longer than a mile to the castner glacier and the trail is easy and safe. The Castner Glacier is a beautiful spot and great attraction, it’s worth the time to visit it.

Great tour!! Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. And inspite of cloudy conditions we managed to see the Northern lights!!

A beautiful 2h30 scenic drive from Fairbanks, you park your car on the right after a bridge. On this side, you can see the pipeline. To get to the glacier, you have to cross the road and enter the trail just before the bridge. A 20-30 minutes walk and you reach the glacier. Massive ark made of ice and rocks, you can’t be disappointed. It’s impressive! Worth the trip!

Coming in late April to see the auroras, we knew it was going to be difficult to see them… but I’m leaving this review because first of all, it is not a northern lights tour. I have done this tour in Europe and the guide takes you to different places to catch the auroras and find the perfect place to see them. Unfortunately this tour gave us no information about the auroras at all ! Antonio just left us at the hot springs and that’s it. Then we took us back to the hotel. We didn’t have a northern lights tour, it was just a drive to the hot springs. The hot springs where so cool but that wasn’t the tour we asked for. Also something that is quite disappointing is that during this time of the year there’s a lot of light in the sky even after 1:00 am, so the chances of seeing the auroras is very very low.
The worst of all the experience is that we booked another activity with Antonio for the next day, and he never came to pick us up !! We payed a tour and he never came. He didn’t answered the phone and gave us no response at all.

Hello,
You have booked a round trip to Chena Hot Spring with entrance for the hot springs included in the cost of your ticket.As per our description on the way back from the hot springs if there is an active Aurora we would stop and customers take pictures on this particular night the Aurora wasn’t active which is unfortunate (late April is not high activity Aurora season).The tour that you booked is not a Aurora chaser tour.For the tour on the next day you have been fully refunded.

We had a great time!!! Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We literally hunted the aurora out of the cloudy sky!! Got lucky!! Would definitely recommend this trip!! :)

While we booked a private tour for our group, the driver picked up other people without notifying us in advance. It took a longer time on the way than it was supposed to be, and we also ended up fitting 6 people in a 5-passenger car (with 1 added seat in the front row). It was a very uncomfortable car ride.
According to the staff at the entrance of the hot spring, all tour guides should bring their guests to the entrance. Our tour guide didn't and caused us to have an unsmooth check-in process.

The tour is not private the transportation is.Driving on icy road is dangerous that is why driving fast is not an option safety is a priority.Check in in the hot springs is straight forward and easy you received barcodes for the prepaid entrance all you had to do is show them to the hot springs staff.Unfortunately sometimes expectations are unreasonably high when it comes to accommodation.Your tour guide accommodated the group with bottled water and did a stop on the way back for Northern Lights viewing and also offered to take pictures for you.Your group left a lot of trash in our vehicle which was really disrespectful.

Glacier cave tour with Antonio from VIP tours. He brought all the gear. You’re his only clients on the trip.
It was an excursion of a lifetime. His patience with me walking in the snow, truly made me feel at ease.
Best guide & even stopped when we saw Moose. He also made a pit stop at Santa village in the North Pole to see reindeer.
Highly recommended, no need for any other guides in Fairbanks: he offers Chena Hot springs tour and Aurora viewing.

Antonio is friendly and knowledgeable, all around great family guy!
Your party is his only clients on tour. His ride is clean and he’s a very safe driver. He will stop when spotting a moose for pictures. He waits at the place so you can leave anytime. We also booked him for the glacier tour- he provided all needed supplies, went above and beyond. Highly recommend Antonio for the best Fairbanks guide.
He also provides: glacier cave tour & aurora viewing tour.

It’s been amazing tour. The views stunning in every second and ice cave is so prett. it’s my favorite trip so far and totally worth it. Don’t miss the ice cave. Also, don’t go out there by yourself because it’s dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. Our tour guide Antonio it’s super chill and relaxing. I really had a lot of fun and I really enjoy this trip. Highly recommend it.
