We were out walking the trail from town and found this fun little park along the way. Unfortunately it doesn't fire up for another week but that didn't stop us from enjoying the park a little bit. Looks like a wonderful spot to bring your...More

Neat little park with many old cabins and structures relocated here, offering some fascinating insight into Alaskan history, a few fun games/rides for kids, and snacks to be enjoyed along the short stroll. Great on a nice day to checkout the town and show visitors...More

I was here a little early and not everything was open but thankfully the history museum was. The volunteers who run this are so friendly and engaging. Very knowledgeable and I was even able to buy 1 square foot of Alaska!! The displays are informative...More

Great playground area for families and cute shops in historic cabins. Fun! Of course, weather permitting which is a short season in Alaska.

My answer is it depends on you, your children and the purpose of your trip. Since they are older if you're wanting to use this as a teaching tool regarding Alaskan history then you'll spend hours and hours. If you want a... More
