Over the course of our five visits to Fairbanks we have many diverse experiences within Pioneer Park. Our favourite would be the day spent on the 4th of July .The Music the parades even the dogs were sporting the Nations bandanas! .There was the International Friendship day. .The original heritage cottages transported from downtown make for such a unique place.

You can learn about history, art & culture as well as shop & eat. Children will enjoy the train ride and playground. You can park your RV here for a small fee for the night.

This historical oasis is definitely worth the visit! We enjoyed walking around the park to see the historical buildings, eating at Salmon Bake, & generally enjoying the day. There was a place to rent canoes & bikes that will try next time we visit.

Came here back in June and all attractions were open. Ate at the halibut buffet before we walked around Pioneer Park, it was nice to see all the different cabins from around Alaska through the times. Went again in October and things were closed for the season but it was still nice to go and see at a different time... More

We needed to have something to do to help kill time while waiting to catch an 11:30p.m. flight to SEA. It was 12 noon and we stopped here and spent an hour enjoying this wonderful park! It was an unseasonably warm day with blue skies and this just added to the enjoyment of the Park. The old buildings which have... More

This is a free park where there is many historic things to see. There is a collection of old (huge) gold mining equipment and they have moved many old buildings here that house stores and shops. There is a small museum and the interior of the big paddle-wheeler holds diaramas of frontier Alaska. There is mini-golf, a cultural center, a... More

We had an hour or so to kill and my husband wanted to go here based on a recommendation from the visitors center. It didn't really seem interesting to me, but it was free so we went. It was really interesting! All the buildings were moved here from downtown Fairbanks and had signs on them explaining their history. The park... More

A great place to learn a bit about Fairbanks' and Alaska's historical roots. Many gift shops and museums. They also offer a huge salmon bake with lots of options. I took my 15 yr old daughter here and she seemed to enjoy yourself. Fairbanks isn't all that big. Check this place out, you'll like it and it's free!

A lovely outdoor museum with old houses to visit and a fun theater production. It is a very touristy place, so prepare for it when you go for dinner there - it's great food, but very crowded.
