The Coolidge operates in an iconic art deco vintage theatre that operates as a nonprofit organization. They screen a combination of first-run movie features, as well as independent films, found only at selected art houses. The Coolidge also provide extensive additional programming in the arts....More

Cool movie theatres are some of my favourite buildings to find in a new city, and this one is really up there! Two stories tall, it has the old theatre architecture out front and a uniquely vibed interior. I saw Call Me By Your Name...More

I've seen many great films here, of various types. I don't buy the snacks, and sometimes it's not particularly impressive seating. I have also watched special screenings of newly-released or not-yet-released films. If you're a filmmaker, this site is really quite adequate for your screening...More

Just love this theater! Comfortable seats, reasonable ticket prices, buy in advance option. Small place, with 3 screens of very different sizes (phone to see where your movie is showing if you care). Cute old-timey ads and announcements. Beer and wine in the lobby. Eclectic...More

The Coolidge Corner Theater is a throwback to going to the movies. It's not the high glitze, over done production that movies theaters have become. It's focus is not on the movie house being the focus of the event, rather wonderful movies, clean and comfortable...More

They show an expertly curated selection of current mainstream and indie films. Movie theaters are tucked creatively into a gorgeous old building - upstairs and down.

Very old but nice cinema. Clean, cozy and small. Sometimes they have movies that other theatres don’t have.

Sitting in a nicely preserved gem of an art deco theatre, watching decent to excellent films gearned to adults and not to teenagers, is a welcome pleasure and a relief from the awful megatheaters that show mostly Hollywood junk fils. Becoming a member helps to...More

The Coolidge offers 4 screens for film-lovers who are hipper than Disney, a great selection of craft beer and ciders and wine AND the best real popcorn real butter ever. Sink into the seats of this renovated Art Deco classic in the heart of Brookline...More

Wonderful experience, stepping back in time to yesteryear's style of theater. We saw Dunkirk 70mm film there recently. It was as if we were actually there in the cockpit of the Spitfire.

Jonny Depp was there last night with other lead actors for the world premier of his new film, "Black Mass". That was probably one of the few times men wore ties and women wore evening dresses to the CC. Other than that... More
