We have toured a few presidential homes and this was one of the best. We really enjoyed the narration of Rose Kennedy, it was really sweet and personal. We appreciated how modest the home was to get a picture of where the family started.

This site is only open during the warmer months, so I was happy to finally visit Boston in June. The tour starts with a brief video and is then led by an informed guide. The rooms of the house are thoughtfully presented. Visitors can get...More

It took me 4 hours to find this place, but it was soo worth it. The tour guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you walk in the house through the back door when you arrive they encourage you to watch a 15 minute video....More

In the middle of the block in a dense Brookline neighborhood of sturdy clapboard houses from 130 years ago—big porches, leaded windows, occasional turrets—is the home where John F. Kennedy, 35th U.S. President, was born. The house at 83 Beals Street was built in 1909,...More

A little off the beaten path and not open year round, but this is a site that is definitely worth stopping for. They offer both a guided tour with a ranger or self tours using an audio of Rose Kennedy speaking about her memories and...More

The JFK house is pretty cool! Staff is really nice and knowledgable. The neighborhood tour and house tour last about a hour. Free to the public.

I had some free time on a cool, dry, sunny Saturday morning in Brookline Boston. I took a 20 min walk from my hotel to JFK's birth home. It was closed for the season but I had a walk around into the backyard and took...More

Interesting glimpse into the lives of the Kennedys at the time of JFK's birth as well as what life was like for people in general and in Brookline at that time. Nice little bookstore/gift shop. Parking can be a little tight.

The docents and staff at the house are wonderful. Be sure to take the walking tour of the neighborhood, the guides do a great job of providing endless Kennedy lore.

The John F Kennedy birthplace and childhood home was a wonderful exhibit. A home is a home, so that is interesting to see where he lived, but the Federal docent was extremely knowledgeble and engaging. A fascinating exhibit.

Depends on where you are in Boston, but if you're coming from Park Street Station right next to Boston Common it's about 3.5 miles or 30 min on the C Line of the T (subway). Take the C to Coolidge Corner, then it's a 1 mile... More
