I have always been fascinated with the Kennedy era. The Kennedy library is a must for any visit to the area, but so is the Kennedy house. The video presentation which precedes the tour is excellent. The home and tour are open free to the...More

Because of heating? It says "off-season", but surely that's not true in the touristy sense - one could imagine Thanksgiving and Xmas deco and so on. But so it is - tripadvisor's automatic opening hours display does not make that clear, and on the website,...More

JFK was actually born in the house. The NPS guide was very informative. You can also pick up a walking map of the neighborhood so you can visit JFK's school, church and subsequent house.

This historic site shows the house where JFK was born and lived part of his childhood. The house stands with most of its original artifacts. The ranger provides a nice explanation about the house.

Visiting the first home of the young Kennedy family connects you with JFK's early childhood. The ranger does a great job in their tour. There is also a short video and gift shop. Very friendly staff.

Depends on where you are in Boston, but if you're coming from Park Street Station right next to Boston Common it's about 3.5 miles or 30 min on the C Line of the T (subway). Take the C to Coolidge Corner, then it's a 1 mile... More
