Devoted to the art of today, the contemporary Jepson Center links Telfair’s future with its past, unifying the museum’s three distinct sites. The building, designed by Moshe Safdie and opened to the public in 2006, features over 7,500 square feet of gallery space for major traveling exhibitions of contemporary art and installations of works from the permanent collection. Educational programming takes place in the 220-seat auditorium, community gallery, education studios, and ArtZeum—a unique, 3,500-square foot interactive gallery for children and families.

Sorry that you had rainy weather during your visit, Savannah is a very sunny town! But we are glad that you were able to spend time in the Jepson Center; we agree that it was a little chilly here last week and are adjusting accordingly.

Finally got the opportunity to visit the museums and we were NOT disappointed. So much to see, will have to return to really see it all!

This is a nice facility. There are some interesting items but lacking considering the size and appearance of the building. It is developing into a modern museum but has a way to go. If you are in Savannah and don't have anything else to do...More

The Telfair museum house is a special place to visit. It explains a lot about living in old Savannah and is loaded with world-class art and artifacts.

Liked much of the art we saw here. They happened to have an art exhibit of Kahlil Gibron which we enjoyed. Too much "modern art" for our tastes, but that may be right up your alley.

Many different works of art. It was part of a package deal but, this is where the Bird Girl was. Very large and not enough time they were about to close.

This museum has some great exhibits. The complex is comprised of three museums for one low price, the Telfair with permanent exhibits, the Jepson Center with the newest exhibits, and the Owens Thomas House Museum. All very worthwhile to visit.
