While out walking through this gorgeous city we stopped in here for a small bite to eat. The building is amazing and the server gives you a brief history of the old Apothecary. The restaurant is operated by SCAD and all of the servers are students. The pot of tea and scones with clotted cream and jam were perfect.

We have been to Gryphon twice - a year ago and again recently. We will go there many times again. The ambience is just fabulous - books everywhere in what used to be a druggist shop. Even the check comes in an old book. And it's in a beautiful historic building right on Madison Square across Bull Street from the... More

We had just finished a tour of SCAD and came in for a very late lunch or early dinner. Very quaint and nice with a great vibe. Food was incredible with the wife having the white bean chile, daugther with the organic chicken and me with the pork tenderloin medallions. We were very pleased. Don't miss this old apothecary shop... More

Been longing for years to take my Tea loving sister for tea at the Gryphon. Yesterday we finally made it. We were seated in the perfect corner for conversation and she was like a kid at Christmas. We each enjoyed our own pot of the tea of our choice and split a plate of Scones, Cream and Jam. Our server,... More

I don't know anything about the tea, but I can tell you this is the best salad I have ever had!!! It didn't have a 'title' but was listed first on the menu. Goat Cheese, apples and I added chicken. It's a pricey little place- $15 for the salad- but a good place to experience.

What could comfort a bookworm more than being surrounded by shelves of worn books? I first found the tea room on trip advisor and knew that I had to take my grandmother for her birthday. I wasn't sure how busy it would be so I wanted to reserve and be sure we would have a table. When we got there,... More

We stumbled across this tea room while wandering the streets of Savannah and were excited to try it for lunch. It did not disappoint. Although the they offered a traditional tea menu, we opted for potato and leek soup and chicken salad. Both were were quite good. We also were delighted by the cherry-almond scones. Yum! The atmosphere was delightful--be... More

We decided to try this place on a whim, and were not disappointed . Like most ventures associated with Savannah College of Art & Design, this place is outstanding. Atmosphere, building, decor, food, wait staff..,all wonderful. Our waitress was the best. She could teach a lot of other waitresses at other restaurants in Savannah! We can't wait to go back!
