The Sorrel- Weed House operates Historic Savannah Tours and Haunted Ghost Tours in Savannah. Our purpose is to educate the public on the rich neoclassical Greek Revival architecture of the Sorrel- Weed House and the the famous architect Charles Cluskey who designed it, along with and the cultural history of antebellum Savannah Georgia. A focus is also maintained on Civil War Savannah, and the role of Brigadier General Moxley Sorrel CSA. Moxley served under General James Longstreet and wrote "Recollections of a Confederate Staff Officer".

We also operate Haunted Ghost Tours in Savannah, as The Sorrel- Weed House was featured on Ghost Hunters with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson in 2005, HGTV "If These Walls Could Talk" in 2006, the Travel Channel in 2010, (the Most Terrifying Places in America) and Ghost Adventures with Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin in 2014.

In January 1940 - The Society for the Preservation of Savannah Landmarks opened the Sorrel- Weed House to the public. The name of their exhibit was "The Society for the Preservation of Savannah Landmarks Presents a Loan Exhibit of furniture and fine Arts 18th and 19th Centuries at the Sorrel-Weed House on Madison Square. Jan-April 1940" They were founded in 1939 and eventually became the Historic Savannah Foundation. 1954, The Sorrel-Weed House was designated a Georgia State Landmark. It was one of the first houses in Georgia to receive this honor. 2005- The Sorrel Weed House opened to the public for Historic House Tours and Haunted Savannah Ghost Tours. 2010. I went in the house after listening to its stories told by the guidor of one of those Haunted House Tour Buses. So, I was prepared to see where all the abnormal activities and sounds took place in the past. Spooky but I loved it!

I booked our tour online a few days before visiting Savannah. Our tour guide was wonderful! She was part of the Paranormal Investigators that investigated the property at least 3 x's a week. I brought along with me (4) 12-year old Girl Scouts - who had a blast! The guide gave us EVP detectors during the walk through the home..and... More

The ghost tour of the Sorrel Weed House was another fun tour based on the history of Savannah. Our guide Gertrude (orange hair) was very knowledgeable and fun. She explained the tragic history of the occupants of the home while also explaining to what life in the time period would have been. I recommend the tour if you like American... More

We were able to take puictures, videos, and the tour guide gave us EMF detectors to "ghost hunt" on our own. Definitely worth the tour to see... More

I toured the home and part of the city with Paul as our guide. Paul was very engaging and passionate. He made the stories come to life.

My husband and I scheduled this and were very surprised at all the activity our group encountered. Out of the 3 groups that were there that night, our group seen/felt/heard the most. We feel it was well worth the money!

This Investigation was amazing i have been on many in the past and none of them even came close to how crazy this one is. There was no stop in paranormal activity even when the guide was trying to explain what happened in the room we were in a female disembodied voice clear as day said "Hello" and everyone in... More

My mom, daughter and I went on the 2 hour night time ghost tour and walk. It was 3 days before Halloween so it was the perfect time to go! Our guide Michael Grimm was so full of knowledge and very entertaining. As a big fan of the paranormal shows I knew some of the back round of the house... More

Definitely worth it! I've been twice. The tour guides are very passionate about the stories and trying to get real ghost interactions. Many guests have gotten tons of evidence!
