This was my first time coming to Savannah and I can honestly say that I have considered moving here. It reminded me of a mini New Orleans in a way. The shops were great and the view was phenomenal. This was a last minute trip, but it was well worth it. I will definitely make another trip very soon.

Interesting street with restaurants, shops and hotels. Free ferry across river. Fantastic view of the river and the ship traffic. Good people watching area.

Not impressed... Some shops were cute but most seemed touristy. The view of the river was beautiful and would enjoy taking a boat tour next time.

River Street is rather special, an interesting mix of warehouses now used as restaurants, coffee shops, tourist shops, and where the boats leave for a river cruise. Pretty trees along the cobbled streets, fun to walk in the evenings

Lots of shops and restaurants. Not much for teen guys. The little market shops have some nice crafts The other shops are pretty touristy. The candy shop is loved by the kids. The peanut shop is a favorite for us.

Went with the family and had a great time in the area, there are many little shops and restaurants along the river. If you don't like to shop you can just watch the mammoth container ships pass by

There are several shops on river street, but about 75% are the tourist junk. A few places for sweets, as well as dining, some cheap as some were pricey. Though the view of the river and the cargo ships going by is nice to look at as well as listening to street performers was nice at night. Traffic can drive... More

If you're a history buff or you just really enjoy architecture, take a stroll down river street. It is beautiful and just awe-inspiring. They have cute little shops as well so you can bring souvenirs to your family!

There are many varied shops and restaurants on River Street. It's very crowded, but it doesn't feel "pressured" busy. If you like sweets - River Street Sweets is a must see and must try. Wonderful goodies that you can sample. The stone streets are very cool even if somewhat hard to walk on. A trip to River Street is a... More
