Walking this road gives you a sense of the history of the Savannah riverfront of old. But it is crowded with shops, especially restaurants. A good place to eat some good seafood and then walk it off again. Probably not the best idea though if...More

The River Street area is wonderful place to stroll along the river then stopping for food or shopping. Don't miss the pralines in the candy store! YUM!

If you come to Savannah you have to walk along River St. There are many shops and places to eat. There is a beautiful view across the river at night. There were street musicians.

An eclectic variety of shops, restaurants and street art. The steps alone are worth the visit. Plan for a couple of hours and don't miss the Pralines....

We only tried 2 on the river. fiddler's Crab House & Huey's. Both were good. outside of that, our worst meal was at Lady & Son's (it wasn't bad; but it wasn't great). The Old Pink House is a must!

The street is but the restaurants and shops are not.
