Sit, drink, watch ships come through. The pebble streets are old, but unique. Crowds of all kinds are busy. Dining at sunset with a coolness makes a relaxing evening while sipping a amaretto sour.

There are nothing but tourists traps all along this road. The stores have the basic "Savannah T's" and junk. There are some nice restaurants along the street though. Be careful when traveling with the family though. There are several homeless in the area, and some...More

We were just in Savannah for the night and stayed at the Marriott by the river. It allowed us to have a beautiful stroll by the river and the walk was clean and well-maintained despite a hurricane the day before! The historical tidbits on plaques...More

I love this street. The cobbled streets and the buildings from the1800's are fascinating. I try to think how life was back then and the excitement of the trades. I enjoy just sitting on the pier side and watching the cargo ships come in and...More

We visited Savannah shortly after Hurricane Irma so we weren't sure what to expect. River Street is still beautiful and I was happy the hurricane didn't do too much damage. There was 1 store that was boarded up, which was sad to see, but all...More

Very enjoyable. Don't wear heels. Wear flat shoes due to the steep stairway and cobblestone streets. Lots of eateries and bars to see. Recommend Kevin Barry's Irish Bar after 8:30 pm. That's when the nightly live entertainment starts. Irish Coffee was great(strong) and apple desert...More

We had a blast shipping, touring, walking, and just soaking in the surroundings, both night and day. Such a beautiful little city. Would love to go back one day, especially during St. Patricks Day.

We only tried 2 on the river. fiddler's Crab House & Huey's. Both were good. outside of that, our worst meal was at Lady & Son's (it wasn't bad; but it wasn't great). The Old Pink House is a must!
