I was not impressed by this museum. It did have some interesting history of the start of Savannah. I think they could offer more. My sister and I were a little disappointed

The Massie Heritage Center commemorates the first educational institution for Freedmen in the city. The space was not organized very well, and there wasn't much in the way of signage or exhibits.

Karen Clark my tour director was very informative. Great place to learn about educational opportunities for the children of Savannah. This historical site should get more publicity.
