This place is charming. Great people working in the center. We are lucky enough to see White Tail deer and Red Fox in our back yard from time to time. Of course a few of the animals did not cooperate and remained hidden. I would think kids maybe six up would find this place awesome. Good price at $5 per... More

My wife was reluctant to visit but we ended up really enjoying the wildlife center. Staff was very knowledgeable. Would especially recommend if you are traveling with children.

A great place to walk in nature and see animals, just a few miles out of town. The trail that was build is very easy to walk and follow, and it is suitable to all ages (though you need to keep your kids on the boardwalk while you are crossing the marsh). Be aware that you may not see all... More

For the price, this was a nice walk with the kids. The farm animals are in a tiny smelly area that is a bit heartbreaking.

We come to Oatland Island every time we visit Savannah. It is great for both adults and kids. We always have a wonderful time. Knowledgeable staff and great exhibits. A perfect outing.

Follow the trails through the center to see all the animals. Kids enjoyed the outdoors and so did we. Loved this place. It used to be a retirement home for railroad conductors. Beautiful grounds. We were here shortly after the hurricane. There were still areas closed from damage. Would love to go back when those open up. Great place for... More

A good way to spend the day. There are plenty of wild life attractions as well as scenic trails to follow. Check out their calendar for special events. My family loves the annual Cane Grinding.

Oatland Island has been one of my favorite places to visit for over 5 years -- ( and I'm a local :) !!! There are a wide variety of animals, as well as a green house and gift shop. I often just go there to walk the trails, enjoy the beautiful marsh view and visit the animals, as it is... More

they had alligators, wolves, cougar, foxes, bison, some snakes, owls, eagles, and some other farm animals you could pet. Its a quaint little park, but much much more walking than was described. On a hot day, takes lots of water and no restrooms till the end, so plan accordingly, this is actually in South Carolina. Just over the savannah bridge.... More

There are lots of different animals available to see that you don't normally see in a typical zoo. The environment for the animals is much more true to what they would normally experience in the wild. They take animals that are otherwise not able to survive in the wild and care for them. It was definitely an enjoyable activity, especially... More
