When visiting Savannah this is a house tour not to be missed! A lovely home that since the 1850's has had only two families as owners and now owned by St. John's Church. While the home does not contain many of the previous owner's furnishings,...More

The tour was wonderful and the home was beautiful. I had never seen pocket windows before I came to this house. Also the crown molding is the most intricate design I've ever seen. A definate must!

So far our favorite old Savannah home. The home is amazing and the history just as amazing. Billy Sherman stayed here after taking Savannah during the Civil War.

The home has been in existence since before the Civil War and was lived in by several generations of one family, the Greens, before being bought by the Meldrin family. It is now the parish house of a Methodist Church. It's a beautiful home, and...More

This historic home is toured with different docents upstairs and downstairs, which results in a longer tour and provides lots of interesting information. This was one of my favorite of the homes, partly because I was able to spend more time looking around. They are...More

There is a slight confusion about the street. The address faces the courtyard/garden between St. John's Church and the house. Be sure to check the hours. There are times they have private functions and meetings during the opening hours - Thus they are closed. This...More

If you like historic homes, this is a good one to visit. Lots of period piece furnishings and a beautiful home that gives a sense of how the wealthy in Savannah lived during this period of history.

I loved this house! It is gorgeous and unusual (Gothic revival!). The tour explains with just enough detail the history and the architecture. It was interesting to see the details that made the house more livable in the summer. This included a dome at the...More

You purchase the tickets at the door. You can walk around on your own I believe, but its better to take the docent led tour- about every 30 mins. Loved hearing about some amazing feats of engineering in the home. You do have to climb...More

Our tour lasted about 45-60". I guess it depends on the numbers of questions the docents get during the tour. The size of the group would have a bearing on that too, as it takes longer to maneuver the group through the house.
