Here is where Tom Hanks, as Forrest Gump, sits upon a park bench and relays that Life is like a Box of Chocolates. There are many historical attributes to the square and well worth the visit.

Love the floral design of the southern squares. Live oaks are always a beloved site. Azaleas are just starting to bloom and Camelia are just finishing. The smell of sweet olives waft in the air.

I liked all the squares I visited but this one stood out the most because it's big and is in central location. I was able to use this square as a navigation point.

children playing, Frisbees flying, street churns performing, and oh... the Bud Light Concert Series. was a tad loud there, but then I was once a young headbanger so it was all good. Can not remember the name of the little old man at the visitors/info...More

One of the many lovely squares in Savannah though this one has the distinction of being the site for Forrest Gump's bench. We had actually walked through before we realized it was "the" square and so ended up finding our way back to it.

This is the square in Savannah where Forrest Gump was filmed, but you won't find the bench he sat on here. The bench has been moved to the Savannah History Museum at the Visitor Center. Still a beautiful place to walk around and people watch.

This is a great spot to find a bench and people watch in the shade. Forrest Gump was filmed here and an impersonator walks around in the square. Beautiful state in the center per usual in Savannah.

Great to visit the place from the Forrest Gump film, however there is not actually a park bench there.

This is a pleasant area to wander about in for a few miniutes - has both historical and movie significance.
