I believe I was walking in circles - I did find another "square" but it wasn't "Chippewa"... And even if I did find it the "Forrest Gump" bench I hear is gone - So not a total loss...

All the squares in Savannah are beautiful. This is the one that Forest Gump sits on in the movie, however, the bench has been moved to a museum in the city. The square is still a must when visiting Savannah.

You cannot help but channel your inner Forest Gump in the beautiful small park. As with other squares in Savanna the Southern Oaks are huge and provide much needed shade, lowering the temperature by 15 degrees or more. Sit on a bench and reenact one...More

We got ice cream at Leopold's and came upon the square. an old black musician was playing a Sax. He played Amazing Grace and I sang. We tipped him and ate our ice cream while listening to him. a nice memory.
