Beautiful museum. Well displayed ship models and information through out the museum. They have many hand made models of famous sailing ships, steam powered paddle wheelers, and the Titanic!

Obviously tours were offered to some but not to us...don't know why. Well maintained, spotless, and very interesting. Had a difficult time finding the entrance to the museum...it's in the back near the parking lot...not the front of the museum. Nice gardens at the back. LOTS of stairs. A good place to visit on a rainy day.

I went there not expecting much, but it surprised me! It is, no doubt about it, the most well maintained, organized museum in savannah. A very nice place to visit. It has a very very beautiful yard full of flowers and different trees and plants (including cotton).

Great place to visit my only gripe with the area in general is everything closes much to early for business travelers who would like to see the city after working.

My husband is a boat captain and wanted to visit this museum. It was interesting, although as an historian I would say this is also a museum about social history than just strictly a maritime museum. This is a great structure if you are interested in architecture.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this museum, lots of model ships and historical information in a lovely vintage home from a bygone era! Very reasonable admission, and helpful personnel.

My seventh great grandfather settled in Savannah in 1733 so the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum was of great interest to me and my family. Many artifacts and renderings of the adventurous spirits of an era gone by.

Located in a grand old mansion this is an wonderful historic insight as to the great ships involved in the building and defending of Savannah and America. Disappointingly, it was a rainy afternoon which prevented us from tour the glorious grounds for the gardens are an attraction on their own.
