Great for ship enthusiasts

This gorgeous old house is home to some amazing ship models and really tells the history of both civilian and military ships.

If you are interested in handmade model ships this is a nice place to spend an hour. The staff are very friendly and grounds are well maintained. Overall a small well maintained museum.

Beautiful museum. Well displayed ship models and information through out the museum. They have many hand made models of famous sailing ships, steam powered paddle wheelers, and the Titanic!

Obviously tours were offered to some but not to us...don't know why. Well maintained, spotless, and very interesting. Had a difficult time finding the entrance to the museum...it's in the back near the parking lot...not the front of the museum. Nice gardens at the back. LOTS of stairs. A good place to visit on a rainy day.

I went there not expecting much, but it surprised me! It is, no doubt about it, the most well maintained, organized museum in savannah. A very nice place to visit. It has a very very beautiful yard full of flowers and different trees and plants (including cotton).

Great place to visit my only gripe with the area in general is everything closes much to early for business travelers who would like to see the city after working.

My husband is a boat captain and wanted to visit this museum. It was interesting, although as an historian I would say this is also a museum about social history than just strictly a maritime museum. This is a great structure if you are interested in architecture.
