We came here on a wet Saturday in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew as part of a joint ticket with two of the beautiful old Savannah house museums. Good value if you do all three. My husband is the one keen on all forms of transport and their miniature equivalents, but I also enjoyed browsing the exquisite models on display.... More

This wasn't the usual type of place i would normally go to, but my friend was late and it was close. i am so glad i went! The model ships were beautiful even if you aren't into boats. There was a nice gift shop and lots of mast heads to see. Its worth the 9 bucks (7 if you have... More

Very nicely done museum but you must love ships to come here. Enjoyed finally seeing it after living here over 20 years but if you dont like ships or are not into them or their history, this place is not for you. I found some of it interesting. Please dont take this review negatively it's just seriously a Ships of... More

My niece got married at the museum, and it is a beautiful place for a wedding. They got married in the garden area and the reception moved to the area next to it. It was very quaint and actually roomy in the reception area. The wedding area was a little tight. However, I would recommend this venue for a late... More

This is a self guided tour so if you are the type of person who will stop and read everything, this is for you. It is just a house of model ships throughout history. Yep, that's it. The most interesting part of the museum to me was the Titanic model. There is a small garden you can walk through as... More

We visited when they were also having an Art Exhibit in the Gardens. The inside of the Museum was also excellent, with a great Gift Shop.

This place was great to visit because you get to not only see another beautiful Savannah home & garden but also a museum with amazing ship models inside. My boyfriend who is a big 'ship/sea' person was completely captivated the entire time we were there. So many ship models to look at and very detailed & clear explanations about each... More

The ship models in this museum are incredible. Take time to look at the amazing detail in each one. They are mostly made by the same artist. I learned a lot about the history of ships that came to Savannah as well as the changes in the way ships were built over the years. The history and life of these... More
