This cemetery is just really nice and peaceful and great to stroll around in while marveling at the old headstones. We learned on a tour about the relation of this cemetery to yellow fever and Savannah which was interesting. But walking around on your own...More

The cemetery is in the middle of town just a short walk from the Cathedral. It was very interesting to stroll through and see all the old gravestones.

If you enjoy old cemeteries this is one for you. Visit the grave sites of generals that fought in the Revolutionary war, also one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Many of the markings on the tombstones are faded with age but you...More

Beautiful park to walk through. Read the stones, read the history. Tough period. You will hear so many stories about ghosts in the cemetery. Appearing on pictures or videos, after... or direct experiences at sunset. Beautiful spanish trees as only the South offers

July 4th Salute to One of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, Mr. Button Gwinnette. Beautiful ceremony with bagpiper and DAR hosts.

Colonial Park Cemetery is nothing like Bonaventure Cemetery. The tombstones are much more spread out, and they are much older, some dating back to the mid 1700s. Some of the tombstones are difficult to read due to their age. Some of the more elaborate inscriptions...More
