This was our first trip to Baltimore and since it was over Easter, we stopped here for Good Friday services. We did take an Uber from our hotel in the harbor area to get here because it is not a great area to walk around,...More

I had a few minutes to walk in and view this historic church while on a business trip in Baltimore. It was a nice walk from the convention center. It didn't take too much time to walk through the building with a personal guide who...More

I was told that this is the first Basilica in the USA. It is a beautiful church with a lovely garden. One of the Popes visited this cathedral. The inside is worth seeing and spending a few quiet moments of peace here.

Visiting with family in Baltimore, we decided to attend Sunday Mass at the nation's first basilica. The recently remodeled interior space was beautiful. The Mass was celebrated with appropriate dignity and solemnity. The lower level is open for viewing and contains a museum (which was...More

They say it's the first basilica in the United States. It's relatively small. You can pay a visit if you are in the area.

Such a beautiful place to visit and worship. The newly-remodeled Basilica is gorgeous and will leave one breathless.

This Basilica was much smaller than we expected. We missed the tour so we had to walk around and explore on our own. The crypt in the basement is a must see. There is metered parking on the street.

We took one of the official tours of the basilica -- very well narrated; lots of history going back to some of our Founding Fathers and the religious environment at the time. Interior was restored to its original "open and vibrant" self, with some additions...More

Beautiful and peaceful. The underground shrine was creepy yet welcoming. I would definitely recommend stopping here, as mother Theresa, the pope, presidents, Native American chiefs, etc. have made their stop here as well.

Didn’t make it to join the guided tour from the start but nevertheless it’s a somewhat historical and symbolic place (especially for those interested, which i am not). So I paid a quick walk-around and semi-self-guided tour.

The church itself does not have parking however there are 2 garages close by. We opted to park on a side street and use metered parking

I agree, although it is not far from the Amtrak station, since you are not familiar with Baltimore, a cab would be your best and safest bet.
