Historical Place of Worship and Beauty

I was told that this is the first Basilica in the USA. It is a beautiful church with a lovely garden. One of the Popes visited this cathedral. The inside is worth seeing and spending a few quiet moments of peace here.

A Must See!

Such a beautiful place to visit and worship. The newly-remodeled Basilica is gorgeous and will leave one breathless.

Smaller than we expected

This Basilica was much smaller than we expected. We missed the tour so we had to walk around and explore on our own. The crypt in the basement is a must see. There is metered parking on the street.

So beautiful

Beautiful and peaceful. The underground shrine was creepy yet welcoming. I would definitely recommend stopping here, as mother Theresa, the pope, presidents, Native American chiefs, etc. have made their stop here as well.

Quick stop-by

Didn’t make it to join the guided tour from the start but nevertheless it’s a somewhat historical and symbolic place (especially for those interested, which i am not). So I paid a quick walk-around and semi-self-guided tour.
