I highly recommend this campground for tent camping. The sites are wooded, and each has its own water spigot and fire pit (charcoal only). The bathrooms are very clean and have electricity, flush toilets, handsoap and warm showers. Best of all...great wildlife sightings, including javelinas!

We did the junior ranger program. It was like solving a mystery for our 11 year old daughter. The whole family had fun look at all the old sites. BRING WATER! It gets hot out there walking around. Staff was awesome.

Our visit to Fort Davis was very informative. The displays and buildings certainly paint a picture of life long ago. The employees were very helpful and willing to answer all our questions.

When you visit a lot of these former frontier forts, they are either almost totally destroyed or completely rebuilt. This one is amazingly preserved. We have an excellent guided group tour by one of the park rangers.
