If you are driving up the Oregon coast I would definitely stop! It's a beautiful beach! The ship wreck is so cool, and it's easy to find crabs, clams, and sand-dollars. There's no shopping areas, but adds to the relaxing scenery! There's also no foot washing station, but there are public bathrooms, not the cleanest at the end of the... More

If you can't find something to do, than its a shame. The beached boat wreck, forts, museums and beaches. It's an outdoor, history buff paradise.

Our visit to Fort Stevens State Park was never ending. This park is the largest in the state of Oregon. It offers interesting items for every member of the family including historical artifacts, tours and camping facilities.

The surrounding grounds are pretty, however, the campground is too urban for my tastes. Sites are very close together, and the families are noisy well past 9 pm (kids, dogs, radios, etc) This is not a serene peaceful camping experience. I won't be visiting again.

Came for a family vacation. Loved the historic sites and beach access. The campground was another story. We had a large group and a mix of RV and tent camping, this combo worked out fine. If you are looking for trees and a bit of privacy, make sure you request this upon making your reservation or securing your site. We... More

This sport plays a significant role in the Pacific Northwest Military strategy. There isn't a whole lot here for families, but for people that have served in our military it is truly worth visiting. Be sure to go there when all the amenities are available as there are down times within the year that limit your access ability to gift... More

We stayed at this state park for 2 nights - in a deluxe cabin. The beach access was terrific! We also enjoyed spending part of a day at the battery. It would be nice to have more interpretation of that items at the battery. Also, there was a reenactment of sorts taking place an hour after we were leaving. We... More

This park has a lot to offer - the beach with the famous shipwreck, a nice, informative visitor center, and grounds that contain Civil War and WWII structures. A great place to spend some time walking around.

My niece and I were just "looking" because we love to camp. I remember when we lived in Astoria in the 50's, there were only 10 sites in this park. Now there are over 400, including many hook-ups and yurts. The sites are fairly well separated from each other, nestled in the Douglas fir forests. There is swimming at both... More

Fun little historical spot! Educational and simply amazing to see the Peter Iredale wreck. Great beach walk . Gun emplacements, cool and interesting but sadly enough full of graffiti Still worth the trip
