A great view as you cross the Columbia river

The bridge structure itself is lovely. Look up as you travel to see the shape & watch as the birds zoom past the bridge.

Fastest way from WA to OR or vise versa. Good view of the Columbia river and the town of Astoria or private housed on either side of the river.

The bridge is just huge. We drove over to see Dismal Nitch and to cross in to Washington. The views were great going both ways.

When you look at and drive on this bridge and think about how much time, work and engineering went into this it is just absolutely amazing.

An engineering feat if there ever was one! This bridge is scary every time I drive over it, but the views cannot be compared and it is worth the trip to the Washington side.

We decided to drive over the bridge into Washington. It was beautiful to cross the bridge, watching the ships go by. And, we then drove around, ending up walking to two lighthouses.

We were on vacation in Oregon and within a reasonable drive to this bridge so we went to experience it. We drove across and back, not a long experience but still impressive. even near sunset on a dreary day. As the bridge comes into view (on the Oregon side) you're immediately impressed by the sheer length and height. Then you... More

This is the biggest bridge I've ever seen in my life. Astoria is a cool little town with much to do but the bridge was my favorite!

Until you drive across the Astoria Bridge you cannot begin to realize the magnitude of the engineering marvel that crosses the Columbia River. The drive is an experience of a lifetime especially on a stormy spring day. Talk about a thrill ride that you enjoy from the comfort of your own vehicle. Toll free the bridge connects Oregon and Washington... More
