I do not like riding the roads so really appreciate Rail Trails. This is an easy road so you can concentrate on cycling, except for the crossroads. Most Rail Trails have crossroads so not a big deal. Nice ride.

Being an old railway, it is very straight, but for the novice bike rider very flat (no hills). I believe it is around 20 miles from one end to the other.. some interesting stops around 9 miles in if your heading east. Some historic buildings to relax around and enjoy a picnic. It also has bathrooms along the way.

Been there a few times in the last couple of months. I like to power walk the trail, but it's great for walking, running or riding a bike. Lots of shade throughout your walk and nice green scenery. If I lived a little closer I would probably walk it every Saturday morning. Recommend for great exercise.

So I'm from michigan and I never thought I would be able to tolerate a bike ride in FL in august but the shade provided by the trees on this ride was perfect. I still went early in the day but that doesn't say much. There were a lot of people there and I had a little struggle finding parking.

We love this bike trail! It's full of nature and streams! I've been to other ones that were infested with deer flies it was awful!! This bike trail didn't have any and I have never had a problem here with bugs! We even saw a deer family and a couple of bunnies which we never see where we live! We... More

We hit the Jacksonville-Baldwin Rail Trail on a Saturday and it wasn't very crowded. We started at the Baldwin (Center St) trailhead. We biked a little over 6 miles to the Camp Milton Historic Preserve, a very nice Civil War historic site. The Rail Trail is an amazing paved road for bikers/walkers/runners. The trail is nice and wide to accommodate... More

This year I purchased a bike. I've used it to ride back and forth to work, as well as taking advantage of some of the bike trails Jacksonville and the surrounding areas have to offer. On a whim, my daughter and I decided to both get some much needed exercise in the great outdoors! She was going to be in... More

I did not ride this but my son did while training for a olympic triathlon. He said it was great for that. Not great scenery but safe and not much traffic to worry about.

This trail runs East/West along an unused paved over railraod bed. No cars or motorized vehicles are allowed so its much safer to enjoy, esp with children... In places it is wonderfullly shaded and wooded then will open up to meadows and open areas. At the middle restrooms a boardwalk leads back to a historical Civil War encampment and park... More
