What a great state park to visit. Small enough to feel separated from the crowd, but large enough to be able to get out and meet your neighbors. The sites are well laid out except some of them have the water on one side and...More

Little Talbot Island has been a favorite of our family for over 20 years. The beaches are clean and never crowded. Fishing is always good. Easy access to several beaches as well as pavilions for BBQ. Restrooms are always clean and there are changing rooms...More

Nice place for a beach day. Pack well and be ready for a short hike to the beach if your bringing tents, fishing poles and coolers, etc.. Wheels a plus!

This is our favorite beach in the Jacksonville area. It cost $5 for the day (access included if you stay at the campsites), it is so worth it too. You would pay more than that to park at the other main beaches. This beach is...More

We are considering staying at site 39 in July- I am curious if anyone has stayed in this one, do they close the gates at dark or can you still get in? We are thinking of going to Cumberland for the day and may arrive back after dark. Also, considering the area, I am assuming the bugs are pretty pesky. How was your experience and did you find any helpful tips?

There is a beach on the park side. Follow the safety instructions on the water conditions signs. Check with the park rangers at the entrance for specific information.
