You need a book, they probably have it. If not they'll try looking at their downtown store for it or ordering online. Insane selection. Great customer service. Be prepared to get lost in the stacks and stacks of books! Trade in your old books for credit. Luv this place.

If you enjoy books, reading, libraries, then you will LOVE this place. When I say you can get lost in here, I mean it literally. The place is huge and has tons, and tons of books of all different types. I could spend hours in here every day. I only wish it was closer to where I live.

A worthwhile destination if visiting Jacksonville.....with 2 locations to choose from. If you enjoy book sleuthing, allow time to visit and if you live here it's worth the trip. They order books with 10% off new ones and will exchange books between stores to make it convenient for customers. Guaranteed buy back books you have purchased from them. Bring a... More

I've lived in jacksonville my whole life, grew up a bookworm and just found out this place existed. It is accurately named in that the stacks on stacks of books go on in a maze for what seems like forever. My boyfriend and I split up at one point and one minute I was in children's books and the next,... More

Millions, well maybe not millions, but certainly hundreds of thousands of books. Every category imaginable. The store goes on and on and on. You could get lost. It's my favorite place to go and lose myself for hours. What a great deal! Used books to buy. Take your old books, sell them and get money to use to buy more... More

If you are looking for a book and Chamblin Bookmine doesn't have it....I would be shocked. There are so many books in this store. If you are a serious book lover, you will want to block off at minimum a half a day for a visit here. If you have a few books to part with - they take trade... More

This review actually relates to the "uptown" location on Laura Street, but I suspect in substance that matters not. If you are either higher-educated or imbued in the rich counter-culture, Chamblin Bookmine is an icon as well as a refuge. Many of us have experienced the encyclopedic used bookstore at some time -- and felt thrilled (no exaggeration). If you... More

Their books are way overpriced, questions and requests for help were seen as a bother. My wife purchased six paperback books for a total of $65.27. The very same titles, at amazon.com, for brand new paperbacks would have cost $68.06. The place smells bad and the isles are cluttered with boxes of books that will not fit on the shelves.... More
