Covered bridge to no where! Blocked from both ends, foot traffic only. It's a shame there are so many idiots in the world. The bridge has a lot of graffiti, plus there is cigarette butts everywhere. Otherwise a nice built bridge.

I never would have known about this place had a geocaching friend not told my husband about it. Just a short drive away from the battlefield tour. Walking through the old covered bridge will take you back in time.

Read about the ghost tours that are offered here in the evening and decided to take a ride out.....our hotel printed out directions for us since there is no address that I know of. From the parking lot of the Quality Inn on Steinwehr Ave,...More

Make sure you don't go on the weekend during the summer. Way to many people with entire family's there. No soldiers were actually hung on the bridge. That's a myth and the hanging tree isn't any better for investigating.

This was our first time visiting the Sachs Bridge and will not be the last. It's a beautiful bridge and with the river flowing makes it very peaceful and serene. The only drawback is the bridge has been vandalized a little which is somewhat disheartening.

Off the beaten path- have been to Gettysburg all of my life & had never heard about this treasure! Lovely bridge, dam, pond, nature trails. Fishing allowed, no swimming.

My daughter and her husband went just before dark and came back with pictures that were unbelievable. Pictures taken one right after another came out alternately clear and focused and the next ones were misty and foggy. Go figure!

This is a gorgeous structure from the outside, it is a shame that people feel the need to deface this piece of history on the inside. Still, it is one of the prettiest covered bridges I have seen.

Love this place. Tours are very professional and they know a lot of history here. They are also fun! There is a lot of paranormal activity here especially at the Sachs bridge. My favorite place to go!
