The view and beauty of the area is just stunning. It was great to see that it's monitored by remote cameras to protect a piece of history. Except for people carving or writing on the inside of the bridge, it was just great.

My husband and I have gone ghost hunting at several locations around the US and this was definitely the best! We heard a clear voice say "Timothy" while on the bridge itself. We can't wait to go back and hunt around again!

This bridge was used by both sides of the civil war, to be able to go on to this piece of history was amazing. It is so beautiful

While we were in Gettysburg we took a ride and came upon this beauty. It is an excellent example of the traditional old covered bridges. We took photos but did not cross the bridge although one can if one desired.

The bridge is historic and quite attractive. It is a pleasant place for a temporary stop and supposedly haunted. Recently, large spotlights have been set up at the two ends of the bridge and they shine brightly after dark. These do not enhance the atmosphere in my opinion.

I don't have anything bad to say about this bridge, but in the end it's just a bridge. Now supposedly it was rebuilt with the same timbers that the soldiers crossed during the battle which is cool. It's a shame that so many people have marked on the wood and carved things in to the wood. We did do an... More

Both armies crossed this historic bridge during the battle. Today it is quite a tranquil place to be.The bridge was designated Pennsylvania's "most historic bridge" in 1938 by the predecessor of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the Department of Highways. What makes visiting this long and unusual bridge even better is the bucolic setting of the Marsh Creek. Allow about... More

This covered bridge is beautiful. you can walk over it. It is very pretty to photograph at sunset. There were even ducks swimming under the bridge and a blue heron there to greet us. The ducks were friendly yet wild but walked right up to me. They were obviously fed by some folks. Nice quiet peaceful place with a beautiful... More

My wife and I were part of a Mustang Cruise to Gettysburg and one of the early stops was at the Sachs Covered Bridge. Although we had been to Gettysburg numerous times in the past, we did not know about the bridge. It is about a 1/4 mile off the main paved road and cannot be seen from the main... More
