See the ENTIRE battlefield at one time and watch the troop movements for ALL three days of battle. The battlefield covers 6,000 acres, an area large enough to be difficult to visualize. The Gettysburg Diorama will put the battle into perspective when you see the ENTIRE battlefield as it appeared in 1863. Carefully researched and meticulously assembled, the Diorama contains over 20,000 hand-painted soldiers, horses, cannons and buildings. Picture the battle through the eyes of Generals Meade and Lee as a narrative unfolds in miniature with a light and sound effects experience you won't forget.

The diorama was so amazing to see! It was very interesting to see how the Battle actually took place visually. My kids loved seeing this and so did I.

It was great to hear and see the history of the Gettysburg battle. I suggest after this you request a 3 hour personal tour with a tour guide at the battlefield. Then tour the places you want to spend more time at like the cemetery and other monuments.

This diorama is still in existence and looks just as good as I remember it from my childhood over 50 years ago! It's nice that you can see that and a film and the museum right at the new visitor's center. They have done a wonderful job helping the public learn about the historical events in Gettysburg.

Great view of entire battlefield with really well done narrative. I consider myself a history buff, but learned a lot. Should be first thin on your list. Makes everything else make sense.

Its kind of amazing painting in the round of the battle on the 3rd day. All painted by hand. Never seen anything like it.

I'm sorry but you have us confused with the Cyclorama. The Diorama is an 800 sq ft model of the entire battlefield More

This is enjoyable. A different thing to 3xplore. And a different perspective on Gettysburg. Worth seeing, but I wouldn't do everytime I visit.

This is one of a few dioramas that were painted by a team of French artists some years after the battle. The main artist visited the battleground and interviewed veterans and townspeople to inform his work on this masterpiece. Now through use of a computerized lighting system, the story of the 3-day battle plays out around the diorama for visitors... More
