This relatively new facility is history done right. Just walking up to this building, it pastural surroundings suggest the reverence of the Gettysburg Battlefield. Inside, you will be immersed in the enormity of the sacrifices our ancestors endured to maintain the solidarity of the Country we now enjoy. Make sure you view the battle inside the Cyclorama. Once done, venture... More

Take time in the museum, search out your state facts related to civil war, watch the film and for sure see the cyclorama for an awesome visualization of the battle.

This is a great way to start your walk back in time and get a complete understanding of the thousands of acres of history that are right outside the door. Highly recommend a minimum of 3-4 hours at the least and certainly pay the (minimal) extra for Cyclorama. The staff throughout the visitors center were helpful and knowledgeable.

This place is amazing. I only have one BIG complaint, the handicap parking is too far from the building. They should have made it where the buses pull in to drop off the people. Where the handicap spots are thats where the buses should be the drop off. My husband has trouble walking and he is a disabled veteran, this... More

This is where to begin your tour of Gettysburg. The movie is well done and sets the stage to understand the historical place this is. Ask questions about the cyclorama. It's an incredible piece of art, restored to perfection, and is significant in American history of itself. The museum is worth the extra time. Many artifacts worth seeing. Then purchase... More

The film, cyclorama, museum are a must and well worth the reasonable admission tickets. Very impressive & informative. Visitors center has clean restrooms, large gift shop and restaurant. We purchased the 150 anniversary auto CD at gift shop to do a self guided tour of the battlefields and it was a wonderful way to explore Gettysburg! Well done narration and you... More

The museum and visitors center are very well done. The value pass is totally worth it! If time allows, break your visit into several days and take your time to absorb the geography and sheer amount of monuments. I admit it felt overwhelming at first.
