I popped in here from the street after seeing the bullet holes in the walls from the battle. The venue has a garden eating place as well as a tavern inside. Their menu is mainly pub grub but promptly served and good value. Inside they have videos of the re-enacted battle playing and the decor is period. Place gets busy... More

Thought the tour of the Farnsworth house was very informative. What made it even better was the "In their Shoes" tour. My grandchildren learned a lot on what the soldiers wore, how far they generally walked and endured. Not to mention technical information regarding the battle of Gettysburg and how some poor decisions could have changed the outcome of Gettysburg... More

Took the combo tour, enjoyed the history and stories while in the attic and basement of the Farnsworth House, though didn't get the trip to the cemetery that we paid for. Was kind of a let down as we were both looking forward to the pictures we could have taken at the cemetery. Maybe next time we will get what... More

I went on both the Mourning Theater, and the Cemetery Hill tours. Each tour was $9+tax. Mourning theater: this was entirely in the cellar of the house, and was in the dark, so be careful coming in. This was a sort of storytelling of the different ghosts of the house, and we found it very entertaining. It could have used... More

I took the 8pm Combo Tour last Thursday. We had about a dozen people and a costumed guide - hoop skirt! Her name was Jenny. We met outside the Farnsworth House. First stop was the basement of that building where we heard about ghosts that are fond in that place. Stacking chair seating. Also an introduction to Civil War era... More

If you are looking for a tour that is going to scare the pants off you the tour that is of the basement and attic and out to the grove is most likely not what you are looking for. We had a great time with our guide Jenny (even if I am 24 not 14). It was I very nice... More

The ghost tours were OK. There are a couple and the same information is repeated. The guide, Morgan, was great though. The tour about walking was not that enjoyable

We've been on several ghost tours, including one at this same place about 12 years ago (which was a great time) , so we have an idea of what to expect; a bit of history mixed with local ghost stories and perhaps a couple of personal experiences shared. We couldn't decide between the cellar experience and the walk, so we... More

We go on ghost tours mainly to learn history - what we got was a very nice lady telling us stories about other ghost tours she had given and things that happened on them. Without anything much on the way of back story there was no drama to the stories and no history to be learned. Skip this one

I went to another ghost tour and arrived 4 minutes past tour time. The guide said no problem. The cashier said she wasn't going to change her paperwork (done in pencil). I paid the guide and went on the tour. I thought the clerk didn't care and was lazy. The tour was ok but too much time on just two... More
