Such a peaceful, remarkable place. It was incredibly sad to walk through the seemingly endless numbered grave markers. Just below the soil lay men who have given not only their lives, but their identities, fighting for what they believed in. It was important to me...More

It was beautiful, tree lined streets, quiet, solitude, beautiful monuments and a very tranquil place to be.

To be at the spot that President Lincoln Gave the Gettysburg Address, leaves one speechless. To see and read the tombstones...just brings to light the horrors of this war. This is a must see.

Well preserved and maintained. Be ready to walk. Can be seen on the tour bus and I would recommend the tour.

The ranger pointed out to us where the Gettysburg Address was given. He had great stories and was most informative. A little walking but not a problem. I read scores of Civil War books and I learned a bunch. It is an outdoor tour, so...More

This cemetery is a must when visiting Gettysburg, but it is well worth taking a 45-minute tour with a National Park Service ranger. Learning the stories behind how the cemetery came to be, seeing the only photo of Lincoln on the day he gave the...More

Taking a stroll through this National Cemetery is a solemn and peaceful experience. To be in the place where Abraham Lincoln read the Gettysburg Address, see what his eyes saw when he read it, well its priceless. All the loss for a greater good.

Even though more soldiers died who were from south of the Mason Dixon line, you will not find a single tribute to them. Very offensive.

Gettysburg Museum was really good and should be seen first as we did. It's $14 for adults which gets you the movie, cyclorama and museum collection. The park is free and there are so many monuments to stop and see. Plan on a... More
