Plenty of parking in a lot just outside with a short walk into the cemetery to pay tribute to where Lincoln gave his short but powerful speech is very moving.

A very somber place. Construction going on for better parking. You can not drive in the Cemetery which I believe is appropriate. make this part of your tour of the Battlefield.

A well kept and immaculately cared for monument to fallen soldiers. Children should be informed of the importance of honoring these heroes prior to entry. A wonderful site to reinforce citizenship and love of country.

Although I had visited Gettysburg several times, this was the first time I had visited the national cemetery. This is the spot where Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg address ,and where soldiers lie buried from the Gettysburg battle as well as other conflicts. The huge trees which line the park's paths are stunning tributes to the soldiers and to our... More

We went to visit this site ourselves and enjoyed the peace and quiet looking around it. Apart from the Lincoln statue it was quite difficult to ascertain the significance of any of the graves. However the next day we went on one of the daily ranger tours round the cemetery and he gave us all the information we needed including... More

I was surprised by how emotional it was to be here. It is a beautiful, serene place, with wide paths and huge hemlocks. Sections of the cemetery hold markers for soldiers from the civil war, WWl, WWll, Korea, Viet Nam. The section for unknown soldiers from the civil war was especially moving. What really had the most effect on me,... More

This is a great place. The spot where President Lincoln gave is famous Gettysburg address is a special place. The cemetery has a good Masonic memorial. Sice it is a national military cemetery they have gravestones from all wars. They also fought in the cemetery during Gettysburg so it is also part of the battlefield.

Hard not to stop here after going to the battlefields. A must for all to see how respected and honored the troops are in this fine cemetery..

Didn`t plan on visit, but we drove through and stopped by coincidence. Very gripping to see all the graves of brave soldiers as well as beautiful statues.
