The Battle of Gettysburg, a turning point in the Civil War, was the Union victory that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Rebellion," Gettysburg was the Civil War's bloodiest battle and was also the inspiration for President Abraham Lincoln's immortal "Gettysburg Address."

We purchased The Gettysburg Story in the gift shop and loved the experience. It's great to get all the information, without having to be attached to a large tour group. Great tour. Amazing sad history in our past

This wasn't our first trip to Gettysburg Battlefield and it won't be our last. We took a guided bus tour which we booked through the Visitor's Center. We purchased the combo ticket which saves you some money. Our tour guide, Dave, was extremely knowledgeable about...More

Loved this piece of history! The visitors center was great, the traffic was a little heavy but not hard to find. Great time.

We booked our tour guide through The Inn at Lincoln Square and his name was Jim. He was an excellent guide and really helped to make the experience come alive. This is a trip that I would encourage everyone to take. You experience what it...More

Words do not describe the sights and emotions of the battlefield. Whether you take a guided tour or just visit by yourself, an awesome experience. The visitors center with film and diorama are well worth the time. The battlefields and cemeteries are must visit locations.

It was amazing to stand where Abraham Lincoln stood for the Gettysburg Address. There's so much care taken to make sure these hero's have a solemn resting place.

This is a beautiful place to visit. You have the option to ride around in your vehicle, horseback, walk, jog, or contact another company such as segway tour or gettypeds to see the battlefield and you can get a professional guide to accompany you which...More

It was an old reminder of the horrors of war, but worth the grief to remember what sacrifices have been made.

My recommendation is to arrange for a guided tour via the Visitor Center rather than taking the self guided car tour. Ed drove our car during the tour and was a wealth of information that you just don't get when alone. My wife (and her...More
