Informative peek into the everyday man and his family. He loved the farm and used it as an icebreaker with many dignitaries. I can only imagine how surprised some of them must have been!

Not sure what I expected, but this lovely homestead is exactly as it was when the President & Mamie lived there. Even the Angus cattle are raised and cared for the same way he did it. The house is a "museum;" such a treat to...More

While visiting Gettysburg we toured the home of Dwight D Eisenhower, the tour lasted about an hour. We scheduled another tour or would have stayed here longer. Did not have enough time to tour the grounds. Plan extra time for that.

This is a self-guided tour of the President Dwight D. Eisenhower home and farm in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Just about everything is in place, as it was during the 1950's Eisenhower era, including their outdoor Bar-B-Q. The Eisenhower's had everyday, down-to-earth taste, and their home reflects...More

The home was right out of the 1950s on was on beautiful grounds. Park volunteer gives you introductory info off the bus and you tour the house on your own. Hallways can be tight if there is a crowd.

I think they were about $ 7.50 p/p. Can be purchased at the battleground visitor center. There is a shuttle bus from there (no private cars allowed at the farm).
