You need to purchase ticket for the shuttle bus to take you to Eisenhower National Historic site at the Visitor Center. The shuttle is the only access to this historic site. Short but trip and arrived at Dwight and Mamie's home. Only house they actually owned. You can tour the house and see the original furnishings. The guides provide you... More

One of the many places we visited. The house is kept the same as when they lived in it. Your take a bus there and a park ranger gives a 15 minute story about the many dignitaries that Ike brought there. The house and the rest of the farm is free for you to roam. They also have an audio... More

If you're doing Gettysburg -- and everyone should -- then you have to make this part of it. A very important man of the 20th Century -- yet so normal. The house is exactly as it was when they lived here. Tour guides were great. Learn your nation's history!

You will be surprised at how "regular" President Eisenhower and his wife, Mamie, lived at this typical farm house in Gettysburg. Go see it for sure.

Take some time and enjoy this historic site. It is preserved much like when occupied by the Eisenhowers. Most furnishings are original. You get to tour the house and the grounds and nearby farm. If you didn't know, Ike raised and showed Black Angus cattle; they still raise them on the farm. Several calves were out during our visit. Plan... More

I enjoyed more than my husband (he would have spent longer at Visitor Center Museum). Was interesting to see how Eisenhower lived and some of the rooms reminded me of growing up. Started to rain and we were pressed for time, so did not get to see the barns

A wonderfully maintained national treasure. I never realized it existed until I started planning a trip to Gettysburg to tour the Civil War sites. This was a fabulous bonus!

Definitely worth your time and small fee, $7.50. Tour guides were great, the house is amazing, and more beautiful than I thought it would be. I highly recommend this step into history!

My family took a tour of President Eisenhower Farm. The tour takes you on a guided tour through the farm house which was very informative. They explain how President Eisenhower loved his farm in Gettysburg. Afterwards you are free to explore the barns on your own. You have to purchase tickets at the visitor center and ride their bus to... More
