I love this place. For hiking, walking, picnicking. It is amazing. The old beautiful bridges you can cross, the honeysuckle, mixed with wild rose... and fields of ferns. I love this place!

Miles and miles of hiking trails. Hemlock falls, watering holes and typical forest vegetation. Art sculptures, fenced nature walk and 2 fenced dog parks are also available. As well as a 2 mile paved loop that houses a 911 memorial.

The trails are great, but my purpose was to take pictures of the NYC skyline, as seen on the website. From the lookout, the trees have grown significantly, and there are NO clear views.

We love the South Mountain Reservation. There's a nice dog park, with separate fenced-in areas for big and small dogs. There are numerous hiking trails, with a waterfall as a nice destination, places to skate and cycle. A local treasure.
