    Interesting Museum
The museum opened in 2013 is located beneath the court around the archaeological remains of the house. The exhibition, providing details and information on Franklin's work rather than his family life, is in five rooms containing short films, and interactive examples of language, pastimes, ideas, and inventions of the time. Each room contains excellent videos, touch screen interactives and artifacts.

    A Great Story Told
Really enjoyed this little museum, you start off in the courtyard viewing what would have been Franklin’s house with the structures they have there. There are also areas where you can look down into where they found original foundations of his home. Onto the museum, you go downstairs and it’s dimly lit and the story of Benjamin Franklin is just beautifully told. I also loved the cute little cartoon films as you go around, some of which are hilarious. There’s also a few puzzles you can have a go at and the artefacts are a great addition. Overall a really lovely place in Philadelphia.

Great informative museum for kids and adults
We found this place as a recommendation from Ranger Mike at Independence Hall. He saw our LO and remarked this was a great place for kids. It’s also only $2 per kid and $5 for adults. Everyone enjoyed it and the animations were kind of funny. I have deeper appreciation of Benjamin Franklin.

Site of Benjamin Franklin's Home and Businesses
We stopped by the Benjamin Franklin Museum on our way by. Our guided historical tour schedule only allowed for us to view the home site outside, which was quite interesting. It showed a scale skeleton outline of the buildings, with excavations you could view from the sidewalk, with information and quotes. There are lovely flowerbeds in a plaza between the house sites. The indoor museum has artifacts, memorabilia, exhibits and information.

    Unexpected gem
So well done!! My sister and I thought it would be nice, of course, but expected something small. We were amazed at how much they managed to fit into this place without it being overwhelming! This museum became a highlight of our trip.

Great place for kids of all ages!
This is a museum for all ages. There are interactive exhibits great for children and exhibits that might be more interesting for teen-adults. We spent a little over two hours there. It's a good place to get a basic overview of an amazing man. Franklin's life is presented in a fairly straightforward manner without being so detailed that young visitors and/or those who prefer an overview don't get bogged down with mountains of detail. If a person wants that volume of detail they might. be best advised to do some heavier reading. We came away from the museum with a much greater appreciation of the genius of Ben Franklin's creativity, ingenuity, and skills in the area of diplomacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would visit again if in the Philadelphia area. This place is a must-see if one is trying to absorb the importance of Philadelphia and the people who founded our nation.

We all enjoyed this very much! Ben Franklin was adept at many things. Seeing and hearing more details of what he did and accomplished was spectacular. We spent more time in there than we had planned. And we don't regret it!

The museum offers interactive components and a variety of displays, making it a good stop for history enthusiasts. However, it may not be worth a special trip if history isn't a primary interest, as it can be quite boring with limited visuals for non-history buffs.

Our family enjoyed this museum with kids age 8-15. It was very interactive, with signs encouraging you to touch, which is so nice with kids.
It’s not very big so it’s a short-ish stop.
