Awesome tour, great selection of beer and cider

Some great beers, cider is very different and interesting without added sugar, great scene, and nice service

I stopped into PBC on a rainy, windy Saturday with a visiting friend for a brewery tour and tasting. Our tour guide, William, was highly engaging and informative! Not only did the tour give a clear rundown of the brewing process, but also of the history of beer in Philadelphia which was a neat addition. The beers we tasted were... More

Dropped by on a Saturday with a party of 4. We decided to show my brother in law a good time by brewery hopping and getting a cheese steak. We arrived a minute or 2 before 11 and visited Row House Spirits first (in the parking lot of Philadelphia Brewing Company) and that was great. Owner there is super friendly.... More

The Philadelphia Brewing Co. venue is cool, but hitting their tour/ tasting is crazy. 12-3PM Saturday and Sunday are the only times you can go in to sample their beers. That seems really unusual. What’s even more unusual is the cashier refers people to the dumpy bar down the street to “taste their beers and come back if you want... More

Had a really nice time here. Showed up promptly at noon for a free tour, which was fun and informative. It took about 20 min. The tasting was $10 for 5 generously sized tasting glasses (and the glass is yours to keep). Hubby enjoyed all of the beers; I liked the ciders (less sugar than normal and on the dry... More

Went here for a tour and tasting on Saturday afternoon. We arrived and got placed on a tour right away, which was nice. Our guide was friendly and looked like Seth Rogen (I'm sure he gets that a lot). The tour lasted about 20 minutes and since the bottling operation was running we got to sample some brew right off... A lot of fun! And , I have lived in Philly my whole life.... I go every chance I can, because there's always something cool going on ...besides beer tasting! And, I might add...some very fine beer at that. It's in a great little Philadelphia neighborhood and it's a fabulous place to spend the afternoon! Expect to leave with a... More

The location was very interesting, an old brewery restored to a level which is perfect for the neighborhood. I like the fact they intend to stay a local brewery and not try to branch out via distributors. The beer tasting room is huge and even though it was blazing hot outside the un-air conditioned room was not a problem. Nice... More

A visit to Philadelphia Brewing is one of the top beer experiences in Philadelphia, in my opinion. Even if you are not a beer lover, the historical value alone makes the visit worth your time. They have renovated what was the Weisbord & Hess Brewery, which opened in 1885, and have brought the beautiful brick building back in the community... More

david is an amazing tour guide & the beer tasting was amazing. BUT main highlight of the tour was the intensely entertaining visitor who was already inebriated & generally inappropriate <3
