If you like unusual art, this place is worth the visit. It is on South Street where the artist lived and create mosaics on buildings (which you will see as you walk around South St.). It is partly inside and partly outside, so be sure to visit all areas, including the bathroom.

This is worth seeing. The mosaics are a visual escape. Every surface; every inch; covered in mosaics. They limit the number of people who enter at one time, so you can take your time. We probably spent an hour here... it is indoor and outdoor; we might have stayed longer, but it was cold and rainy.

Isaiah Zagar has magical hands and beautiful mind. Loved this garden. I think it is safe to assume that it is the most photogenic, instagrammed spot in Philadelphia. You may club this with mural mile, if you feel like exploring street art, and a hot cup of coffee. Please check the admission hours before hand. They are open Wed- Mon... More

The magic garden is a relatively new spot that showcases an artist dream of creating an immersive environment through tile and construction. The exhibit is on South Street making it a short walk to the other interesting things available in Philly's most eclectic neighborhood. Its hard to describe the garden as it is collage of "art within art" in 3... More

While this attraction is small, it is well worth the $10 entrance fee. It is something to see and enjoy.

I have three kids, ranging from preschool to middle school age. We met my friend up for lunch and then she took us to the Magic Garden. With a family of five at first I was hesitant to visit anyplace with an admission fee (especially when there were so many National Park Sites nearby to see for free). After we... More

There is no doubt that this is an impressive undertaking, but it just wasnt for me. I struggled to connect to the art because it was just too much and everywhere. So much going on, I struggled to focus and just gave up. Overwhelmed and confused. Others in group were very impressed and felt the inspiration. Not unhappy I went.... More

Loved this place - so unique and interesting to see how it was built over time. It's small so it only takes an hour or so, definitely worth putting on the to-do list for a packed day! It's also peaceful and relaxing in there, and they have a marketplace for local artists jewellery pieces - gorgeous stuff!

If you are inspired by those who think outside the box this is a stop you must see when visiting Philly. While the mosaics you will see on the streets in South Philadelphia are beautiful seeing an entire building and garden covered in color, light and life is amazing. The entire building, floor to ceiling is covered in tile, glass... More

I have been following the progress of this outdoor art installation for years and never cease to be totally amazed at the uniqueness of it. Really worth the time to check it out.
