My daughter got married at the church in early September. This is an amazing institution with an ideal location. The beauty and architecture of the church played a big role in the success of the day. One of the nicest churches in Philadelphia.

Attended a wedding here August 2017. Amazing location close to Independence Hall. Some information about the church, including a copy of a letter from George Washington, is posted on the back wall. Charming, modest, church with rich historical significance for Philadelphia.

This is a beautiful small church in the middle of the historic part of the city. It is the first catholic church in Philadelphia. Mass is celebrated there with many convenient times on the weekend. It is small but you definitely feel like you are...More

at the heart of a historic district, it one of the oldest church in the US which is still in operation. Very well maintained, it is typical of the jesuit style.

Not as ostentatious as a cathedral or basilica but an example of a small place of worship that has been well maintained. Enter on the alley sign despite what the signage tell you to do.

Come see how the pastor of this colonial church helped establish the founding principle of Religious Freedom for America. I did not realize the historic significance of this church. The docent guides in the church were a wealth of knowledge and passionate about the history...More

I attended a wedding in this church. The church is beautiful and provided an old world setting for a wedding. Although almost 200 years old (rebuilt in 1830s), the church is comfortable and air conditioned.

This place does not scream church and is a bit hidden away from sight. Other than that it was worth a quick stop to see. The old original gate from the church yard was exceptional and the interior, while small was very well maintained. I...More
