About
This $522 million convention center has 440,000 square feet of exhibit space. Its draw, however, is more than its function; elegant on the outside and, in the inside, marvelously adorned with works by 52 artists, a flying design of steel and aluminum tubes spanning 70,000 square feet, a façade of the old Reading Railroad terminal and a 37 foot rotating electric guitar.

Just an average convention center. Most of the doors were closed for the event we attended. You had to walk around the building to find the right entrance. Security was pretty quick as well.

I attended a conference here and was amazed by the size of this facility. It was well maintained and can cater for huge crowds. The fact it has adjoining paths to Marriott Downtown expands access to additional rooms for meetings etc. This place spans several blocks in length so be prepared to walk. Excellent location downtown with handy access to eating places nearby and the reading Terminal market.

In town for business. Been here several times. Lots of nearby hotels. Easy walk next door to Reading terminal with dozens of food shops. A very well maintained facility.

Fun, and relaxing day looking at beautiful displays and gorgeous flowers. Tons of great garden items and plants, seeds and bulbs to buy. I found an awesome rain chain! And got 2 bonsai’s and other unique small one of a kind items.

Very disappointed, there was little inspiration for the home gardener but lots of tacky, gimmicky things and way too many vendors. There was actually dead space between the center features. The lines and ticket prices were not worth what was produced. I miss the old days when I could be inspired and want to return home and duplicate what I saw at the show. Ever since Ed Lindeman left it's been downhill. I'll be hard pressed to return.

An event we will not repeat. The theme was lackluster, the displays not especially inspiring and the crowds were horrendous. There was no flow. And, disappointing for us was the number of vendors- many more than the floral displays. I wonder why mops and mattresses are being pushed at a flower show? Many of the vendors were just plain tacky with poor quality wares. I hope PHS will reflect carefully on this event. Just because it drew crowds doesn’t mean it was a success.

I have attended, and loved, this show at least a dozen times, but probably never again. There were too many exhibits you had to line up to enter, creating bottlenecks and wasted time. I felt like I paid $45 to wait in line, and finally gave up, leaving me feeling like I paid $45 to visit vendors. Good grief. By Sunday there was no effort to maintain the integrity of the flowers, and many were reminiscent of late September in your back yard. But the tickets were the same price. Aisles that could have easily alleviated crowding were blocked with benches, exacerbating an already unnavigable show floor. And finally, there were so many signs warning you not to touch, not to enter … I felt like I was being scolded at every turn. I was excited to be back in the Convention Center, but next year I’ll just drive the extra hour down to Longwood Gardens when I want a Spring Flower Fix.

there were some fun and pretty exhibits. paid 75$ and stood in line for 30 minutes. the dj was AWFUL. lines for drinks were AWFUL. no food whatsoever. no tables for water or anything separate from mixed drinks. both staff AND other visitors were extremely rude and ghetto, will never return to that God awful city ever again lol assumed that since the tickets were so expensive, it would minimize the ratchets. It did not. no signs or staff ANYWHERE. no people manning lines. what a disgusting and miserable event honestly. extremely disappointed I wasted my money on this.

My husband and I took our 2 kids and 2 foreign exchange students… over $200 for the tickets (and at least another $100 on food since a bottle of water was $5). We couldn’t see anything because it was so crowded. The lines for the big exhibits were akin to Disney World. Those lines were so long that they blocked the surrounding exhibits. We purchased the butterfly tent add on … waited an hour to get in. I’m so disappointed that we wasted our time and money on this show.

This was our first year at the Philadelphia Flower Show. Some amazing displays, but we couldn’t see it all properly the event was so crowded on 3/11. It felt like Disney World at peak capacity with long lines for all the displays.
1-star for the unhealthy crap the convention center sells as snacks. Possibly the worst cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time.
PHS - it’s great you’ve got such a popular event, but you need to sell timed tickets next year.
