This is pretty and historic campus with a nice adjacent business district. It is close to public transportation and easy to connect to other sites in downtown Philadelphia or the airport. Two very historic sports venues (Franklin Field & Palestra) are easy to see.

I walked this area when I went to a Penn sporting event. The campus architecture and landscaping is nice. The area is safe during the day, and there is a lot of history from archaeology (Penn Museum) to sports (Palestra, Franklin Field). The area is an easy SEPTA train stop from the airport.

I graduated Penn in 1966 and only returned once, for a very short visit, in 1991. This time I spent a few days on campus. The grounds are beautiful and I wondered at the garden like atmosphere of the campus and the quality of the architecture of the buildings built in the last half century. The students came from all walks of life and seemed open to take advantage of the opportunities made available by this great University. It was an uplifiting experience.

Different Ivy League school experience. To be fair, it's an urban campus, but once you get off the main roads, it's a nice place. Lots of history and enjoyable walk across the campus area.

Really wonderful area in the city to explore on a beautiful day. While the building themselves are closed we really enjoyed the architecture.

If you're kid is on the fence about ED'ing - it's worth a visit - the campus is beautiful, we found lots of students to tell us about life at Penn, the neighborhood felt very safe. Virtual tours only get you so far, this closed the deal in a good way!

My niece was studying in a summer program nearby and I had a chance to walk her through the campus and all the stores and banks. I do like the university feel of it. The architecture was marvelous. If you are in to details you could really spend significant amount of time going through the buildings and everything.
