Philly is full of art, and this is one of the brightest pieces. If you are going by the Museum of Art, keep an eye out for this. It is hard to miss, especially on a sunny day. If you can't find a parking spot, it is still breathtaking to see from the car.

This one of many fine statues in Philadelphia in the Art Museum district. It takes no effort to gaze up at it if you are in the area. Admire the sculpture. It's free.

One wonders what Joan of Arc, the 15 ft high gilded bronze equestrian statue beaming at passersby on 25th Street and Kelly Drive, near the Philadelphia Museum of Art, might tell us about how she became the revered St. Joan of Arc, who nearly 6 centuries ago, with her lance held high and erect on her horse at the head... It's located right outside the Art Museum, so that's even more appropriate. It may be a copy, but it's still a wonderful statue, and it's in absolutely pristine condition. A nice addition to the Art Museum.

Was able to view the statue outside the Art museum. It is shiny and hangs out across from the Rocky statue. Not a destination but an add on if your in the area.

Between the Art Museum and the Museum's Pearlman exhibit center, you will pass it if you cross the beginning of the Parkway to walk from one to the other. Look for the large Orange steel girder Mark Di Suvero sculpture a contemporary piece by a living artist, Walk around both to fully appreciate the works.

A finely designed and executed statue originally installed in Paris in 1874. Its bright gilding makes it unusual and noteworthy. IT is in an excellent area of Philadelphia near the Art Museum, Rodan Museum, Barnes Collection, several other museums and many outdoor artworks. It is a bit challenging to view due to its placement along busy roads but well worth... More
