The PAFA museum seems small compared to the Philadelphia Art Museum but there is sooo much to see. We visited during the student exhibitions and the diversity of art was exciting. There was also an Impressionist exhibit centered on gardens that was fantastic. The original building is also impressive just for the architecture. Also great for summer camp & family... More

Interesting art work by students, different, modern, unique. Some silly. Some a bit off-color. Worth a look-see.

excellent school and talent pool! we attended a recent gallery showing and graduation. the quality of work shown and for sale was terrific! we listened to the students explain details at the show; they really are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their trade. that is a tribute to passionate teachers. well done; another generation continues....

PAFA's museum houses one of the best collections of American art in the world. Yes, even though there is no sign saying "Museum" on the buildings, it is a museum and you will be welcome when you walk in. PAFA had a history of being conservative but no longer. It is edgy and active in the contemporary art world. Check... More

We really enjoyed visiting this lovely museum. We were awed by the building's architecture. We enjoyed the collection and appreciated the information about PAFA alumni status in the information when relevant.

this museum should be the first stop, the building is so beautiful and the works of art that are exhibited there are exquisite. I truly recommend this place and it is just in the center, broad st. and Arch.

The last two words in PAFA’s name says it all—Fine Arts. When I visited in May, the Victorian-era building was clad in scaffolding, obstructing the view of architectural art. But upon entering, I had a surprise. It was a “free” day, the $15 admission fee waived. I did, however, make a donation. An immediate calm envelopes. The beauty of eclectic... More

A wonderful Victorian building filled with art with the emphasis on early American. Getting there is difficult and parking outrageously expensive so figure out mass transit or take a taxi. During my visit they were in between exhibitions and packing up stuff so not everything was on view. As I was attempting to look at the permanent collection despite the... More
