One of the guides turned out to be an Egyptologist, he made our 4pp tour come alive. So informed and interesting. Wish every young person could have him teach history in their school.

Important collection of early American art and much more. Impressive galleries of African-American, women's art & the special exhibitions are superbly curated. One of the great American museums.

This afternoon visited the 115th Annual Student show and the museum's permanent collection in the older building for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. There was nothing stuffy about either display. The student show played up the wide diversity of the student's creative talent and artistic vision....More

We went to see the swan Lake Ballet, the building is amazing like the nicest opera houses in europe. They have a crystal chandelier for more than 100 years. Its a dream building fir art lovers and architects.

I've only been here once but I throughly enjoyed it. The building is so beautiful and you can really get a perspective on all the art because everything is laid out so well-- there's space to get a real perspective.

It provides the museum with a magnificent setting for the presentation of its 19th-century collections and special exhibitions. As the modernist architect Louis I. Kahn observed, it...More

Welcome to Philadelphia. PAFA does have tours but it is not required. You are free to review the works there at your own pace. Check the PAFA website for tickets fees.
