This is a small museum off Washington Square. The exhibits are free, and also quite interesting. The current one documents 250 years of Independence Hall, and the changes that occurred to it and the surrounding vicinity.

This really is a great building, not just because of the architecture but because of the history as well! Athenaeums were very popular in the early 19th century, and I love that they've made such great use of it even today!

Located in the old city, this 4 story free standing bulding dates from the mid 19th c. Prominent Philadelphiands belonged to this archive. Interesting documents are protected on the 4th floor.
