This park is clearly used by the locals, with an area where the dog owners were visiting with each other, and an area with young families with their children playing together and grandparents on benches. It's a lovely park to enjoy a cookie you picked...More

Walked through Rittenhouse Square in February of 2018 and it was a nice reminder of how its beauty. Lovely seasonal light, crowds of young adults hanging out and discussing politics, and wonderful sounds of violins in being played off in a corner of the Square....More

If you want make your way through the drug dealers at the entrance it's fine...Seems that the residences around the park and police no longer care..Terrible what it has become..

Not much activity but Worth a quick walk thru when peopled on a weekend. Occasionally there's a farmers market on the sidewalks.

City Hall. The center of government. Union League. The center of influence. University of Pennsylvania. The center of learning. Rittenhouse is old world but not out of date and it changes as it should with the times. High Brow is a apt description and sets...More

Back in the day Rittenhouse Square was the prime destination of Philadelphia. It is still a vibrant district and the park still flourishes. In good weather folks jam the place to enjoy the beauty and comfort of the park.

This location I visited several times, safe and relaxing. Much activity throughout the day and evening. People walking dogs and couples together. Nice statues and trees/foliage well maintained.

We were visiting the area and while waiting for our dinner reservations we took a short stroll through the park. It's a small park with a nice fountain and a few sculptures throughout. Even though it was evening time I didn't feel unsafe walking through,...More

I have stayed at the Sofitel several times and have been satisfied. This does not overlook the square, but is a short walk.
